The town of Baileyville is seeking bids to buy any of the following properties

1) Tax Map 15 Lot 17, 31 Oxford Street home and land

2) Map 15 Lot 21B, Oxford Street land only to be sold with Map 15 Lot 17 as one parcel minimum bid for the two $10,458.00

3) Map 15 Lot 23, Main Street, land only

4) Map 15 Lot 24, D Street, land only to be sold with Map 15 Lot 23 as one parcel, minimum bid $1500.00

5) Map 15 Lot 20, 350 Main Street, house and land minimum bid $3600.00

6) Map 16 Lot 42, Summit Street, land only minimum bid $840.00

7) Map 15, Lot 29 D Street, land only minimum bid $200.00

Accepting Mowing Bids For 2017 Season

The Town of Baileyville is seeking bids from interested persons or companies to provide mowing services for four lawns or sports surfaces.

A list of the locations and description of requirements is available at the Town Office or on the town website.

Bids must be addressed to Rick Bronson, Town Manager at:

or by email to help@baileyville.org .

Bids may also be delivered directly to the town office. To be considered a bid must be received by 12 noon on Friday, March 21, 2023

There will be a special town meeting for all Baileyville residents at the Baileyville Town Office on Wednesday, December 28, 2023, at 6:00 pm.
This meeting will be preceded by a regular Town Council meeting beginning at 5:30 pm also at the Town Office.
There are two items on the Town Meeting Warrant:
1) Moving the town line between Baring Plantation and Baileyville.
2) Authorizing borrowing from the Maine Municipal Bond Bank for a sewer project in 2017 and 2018.

Public Notice-Building Codes and Permits

The Baileyville Town Council wants all real estate owners, builders, contractors, engineers and architects to know that like most organized towns Baileyville has ordinances and policies affecting building construction and alteration that have been in place for years and will remain a fact and in place for years to come.

The fact is that Baileyville has a zoning ordinance, known as the Baileyville Land Use Ordinance, and a complete set of building codes legally adopted and in effect. Any and all persons preparing to build new, rebuild or substantially alter any structure in Baileyville should consult Andrew Snowman, Baileyville Code Enforcement and Planning Officer, to learn about any need for a permit to build or alter a structure.

Some normal property maintenance work does not require a permit. There are fees for some permits but if the work you do should have had a permit and did not get one, an after the fact permit with associated penalties costs more.

Before you build, please consult the Baileyville Code Enforcement Officer at 447-3442.
